Light-driven bionic liquid crystal elastomers soft actuators
Soft Actuator | 更新时间:2024-05-29
    • Light-driven bionic liquid crystal elastomers soft actuators

    • Liquid crystal elastomers (LCEs) soft actuators have made new breakthroughs in the field of biomimetic intelligent robots. LCEs, as key components of intelligent soft robots, exhibit reversible and complex shape changes and motion capabilities through the combination of liquid crystal anisotropy and rubber soft elasticity. Especially in applications driven by light, LCEs actuators demonstrate powerful advantages such as remote control, fast response, and efficient energy accumulation and release. Researchers have delved into the shape change response mechanism and performance of LCEs, providing new possibilities for the development of intelligent robots. This research not only enriches the functional design of biomimetic intelligent robots, but also provides new directions for future research and application of intelligent materials.
