A video monitoring system is designed and implemented based on ARM and FPGA.With ARM9 processor as master controller and FPGA as coprocessor
the functions of real-time video acquisition and display are realized on the basis of constructing high-speed data transmission channel between ARM and FPGA and establishing lightweight graphics drivers on Linux OS.The experiment shows that the system can play video fluently which are PAL or NTSC formats with the advantages of excellent expansibility
