An experiment setup with a single-step exposure to prepared 2D grating was designed. A 2D grating based on polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) with better electro-optical property was fabricated through single-step exposure setup. The sample was checked by POM
AFM and He-Ne laser. The results indicate the samples have clear 2D grating structure
and some fairly ordered lattices in the visual field
and the diffraction efficiencies can be modulated by electric field. All results in this work show that multiple types of electrically tuning liquid crystal devices could be made by design of optical sketch.
