the fully-leaky guided mode characterization of liquid crystal layer have been studied by means of the prism-coupling technique. The guided wave figures of a parallel aligned nematic liquid crystal cell with cell gap 4.6 m
in which the liquid crystal E7 is filled
have been given through experiment. By comparing the guided wave pictures with the theoretical simulation results
the guided modes of the liquid crystal waveguide predicted by theory are well consistent with the guided wave figures obtained through experiment.
