Low driving voltage PDLC samples were prepared by acrylate polymer in this paper. Optical-electric curve shows that the driving voltage of PDLC can be lowered to 25 V. By changing the diluent monomers in the polymer system
the driving voltage of PDLC can be changed largely. The experiment result shows that the dielectric constant and impedance of polymers play the key role in PDLC driving voltage. Besides
the composition of liquid crystal mixtures can also affect the driving voltage of PDLC to some extent.
