Lattice structure based on temperature control in polymer- stabilized blue phase liquid crystals
“Blue phase liquid crystals have broad application prospects in the field of optoelectronic devices, but photoisomerization during polymerization can disrupt the arrangement of liquid crystal molecules. Experts have studied the effect of temperature control on photo induced isomerization and lattice structure in polymerization, and found that the addition of polymers promotes a jump in the lattice constant of liquid crystal blue phase I. Avoiding polymerization in the middle temperature range can prevent lattice distortion and spectral broadening.”
