Introduction

Chinese Journal of Liquid Crystals and Displays (CJLCD) supervised by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), is co-sponsored by the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics, and Physics (CIOMP), CAS, Liquid Crystal Branch, Chinese Physical Society. The publisher of CJLCD is Science Press，China. CJLCD started publishing (ISSN: 1007-2780) monthly in both mainland and abroad in 1986.
 
The editor-in-chief of this Journal is Prof. Haicheng Guo, the famous scientist in the field of liquid crystals and displays in China. There are more than 100 members of editorial committee. They are all the experts and academic leaders from key universities, research institutes at home and abroad, who have made outstanding achievements in the field of liquid crystals and displays.
 
CJLCD reports on developing trends, significant new findings and new physical insights in the field of liquid crystals and displays worldwide, and offers prompt publication of review papers bearing on all branches of science, engineering, and modern technology in this field. The purpose of this journal is to promote the generation, application and archiving of knowledge in the field of liquid crystals and displays and to disseminate it worldwide, and provide a rapid forum for the dissemination of research articles and review articles across the research of liquid crystals and displays.
